I love that poem, 枫桥夜泊(feng1 qiao2 ye4 bo2) by 张继(zhang1 ji4)

月落乌啼霜满天，江枫渔火对愁眠。
姑苏城外寒山寺，夜半钟声到客船。

Anyway, people still wrote poem in ancient style nowadays, so what you were saying is totally possible.

As mysterious as night, As powerful as thunder = 如夜般神秘，如雷般有力 (ru2 ye4 ban1 shen2 mi4, ru2 lei2 ban1 you3 li4)

知足 (zhi1 zu2)

知(zhi1) = knowing
足(zu2) = enough

A lot of the time, you'll see these two in a phrase "知足常乐", which means "Happiness lies in contentment".

The characters read from left to right, top to bottom, seems to be:

远由依为迫
?手田渺了 (Can't recognize the first character)

I believe they are Japanese Kanji (Chinese characters), and possibly part of a poem. But they don't make much sense in Chinese.

The characters are mostly likely 誠山關(cheng2 shan1 guan1) that written in ancient seal script.

It probably the name of the place where they made this vast.

But I'm not 100% sure.

The second character is a little bit blurry, they are very likely to be these:
zhi4 = the will/goal/ambition
shu1 = unique/different

Together it means different wills/goals (for one's life).

As you mentioned, that two symbols are the same character, 寿/夀(shou4).

It means longevity in Chinese. Things with this character on are the number one option as gifts for Birthdays. Although it's usually for adults. People don't use that word for kids for some reason.
