What are Chinese Letters?

When somebody talks to me about Chinese Letters I get confused. What is a Chinese Letter, and what is a Chinese character or symbol or whatever. And what is the difference between Chinese and Japanese?

Different calligraphy styles for different regions of China?

I've got it narrowed down to a few choices but would like to ask you a question, if you don't mind. Are there any particular styles/scripts specific to a geogr...

Do I need to open my wall scrolls immediately?

Gary, I received the package yesterday, which is awesome that I got it so soon. I opened the box but didn't take the scroll out of its bubble wrap, so it's still taped up. My concern is with humidity and all that stuff. Would it be safe to leave it wrapped up like it is in its box for another week? ...
