Heart Sutra in Chinese

Post by Mac » Aug 19, 2013 5:42 am

Hi Gary!

Just some short questions before ordering the Heart Sutra.

Which version will be written of the sutra? Is it the standard Chinese translation by Xuanzang?
Is it the long or short version, I would prefer the short version?
Can you include a computer written character translation on a separate piece of ordinary paper if it is not Xuanzang version?

All the best regards
Mac

Yes, I use the short version by Xuanzang, if you call 260 characters "short":

When done in calligraphy form, the punctuation is removed:

You can order from here:

It would take days to properly translate every nuance of the Heart Sutra from scratch. Whole books have been written to explain it. Thus, I don't think a translation to accompany this would be reasonable. If I were you, I'd search Amazon for a book on the Heart Sutra that has a bunch of good reviews.

Cheers,
-Gary.

Hi!

Thank you for you kind answer!
If it is Xuanzang no translation is needed.
I will order in the morning and I´m very grateful for the possibility of getting the sutra in Chinese.

Very Best Regards
