Framing a Wall Scroll

Post by einstein72586 » Dec 22, 2007 10:30 am

I have purchased a couple of wall scrolls from your website, and I must say they are very beautiful. I am thinking about framing them to help them last longer, and to help bring out the colors of the flowers more. How would you go about framing this type of work?

Cutting a wall scroll for framing

It's as easy as cutting off the top and bottom of the scroll.

Leave at least 5cm (2") or even as much as 10cm (4") of the silk at the top and bottom to use in lieu of matting (and to give a traditional look).

Your professional framer probably has a nice big paper shear that can cut this very square. You might want to leave it to him/her.
